The Effects of Thermal Effluent on some of the Macrofauna of a Subtropical Estuary
Nugent RS. 1970. The Effects of Thermal Effluent on some of the Macrofauna of a Subtropical Estuary. University of Miami
This report documents the effects of thermal effluent from the Turkey Point power plant, adjacent to Biscayne Bay, on the animal populations living in the mangrove habitat. The fish and larger invertebrates were sampled using gill nets, traps, and hoop nets. Slate panels were used to study the fouling organisms. The study also investigated hydrological parameters. Maps, diagrams, graphs, and tables present the data.
