This paper deals with the egg laying rates of the cave cricket, Hadenoecus subterraneus in Sophy's Avenue, Mammoth Cave. The numbers of eggs were compared to the number of holes punched into the substrate and the results suggest that crickets make many false holes, possibly to distract predators.
