The bryophytes (mosses and liverworts) of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, MI were sampled and the literature reviewed to produce a list of 138 taxa of mosses and 38 taxa of liverworts known to occur in the park. Mosses and liverworts are also grouped by vascular plant communities in which they typically occur. These include lake shorelines, rock cliffs, coniferous forests, hardwood forests, mixed hardwood and coniferous forests, wetlands, and disturbed areas near trail entrances and parking lots. Interesting and rare species occurrences are also discussed. Management recommendations are included.
