Waters from several active geothermal systems, including Lassen National Park, were studied for their anomalously high concentrations of arsenic (As), tungsten (W), and antimony (Sb). Trace elements of mercury (Hg), gold (Au), and thallium (Tl) were also found. Relations of these elements to fossil geothermal systems which produced gold deposits are discussed in the abstract.
