This is a report on 1983 resource management activities at the Redwood Creek estuary. Some of the work involved monitoring of water quality, aquatic invertebrates, and salmonids; some was repair of a log boom, installing temporary culverts, and other water level control measures. In addition, about 2 acres of wetland was re-established at the embayment. The report makes recommendations for 1984 actions, including continuation of talks with adjacent landowners about embayment water levels, a resurvey of the slough necks, improvement in slough circulation patterns, further monitoring, discussion of restoration with the Army Corps of Engineers, and increasing interpretation of park estuary activities. April 1984 report includes maps of the levee area, slough and beach profiles, graphs of chinook salmon and steelhead population estimates and growth.
