A study evaluating the effect of the liberalization of deer hunting regulations at Assateague Island National Seashore on sika and white-tailed deer populations. Preliminary computations indicate that harvesting has more effect on numbers of white-tailed deer than on sika deer. Includes an introduction to the study area; methods of harvest; analysis of index and harvest data; and results and discussion.
