Reports koa regeneration observed in exclosure areas established in Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Compares exclosure areas with adjacent ranch lands where cattle grazing has been allowed to continue. Recommends continuance of ungulate control programs and give recommendations for further research regarding fire and understory plants. Includes black & white photographs.
