Assateague Island National Seashore was selected as a study area to demonstrate the use of remote sensing in resource inventories. Digital and analog LANDSAT I data, high altitude color infrared photography, low altitude color infrared photography were used. Includes a biophysical (vegetation) classification system, land capability maps, plant communities, and black and white aerial photographs.
