Laboratory studies showed that female tree lizards are largely sedentary during the breeding season, and field studies in the Rincon Mountain District support that. While males established territories and dominance, females did not, and the latter tended to move between habitats very little until about a week before eggs were laid. Bibliography, 1 figure.
