This document presents a proposal for the management, development, and use of Haleakalb National Park. The general management plan calls for the acquisition of lands adjacent to the park, in order to ensure the long-term protection of natural and cultural resources. The addition of new facilities and the upgrade of existing ones in order to enhance visitor experience is recommended. Two alternatives are also presented. The environmental impact statement outlines likely consequences for each of the three options.
