Final progress report 1935 silversword project

Lamb SH. 1936. Final progress report 1935 silversword project. Final report. National Park Service. Hawaii

Final report of the 1935 Silversword Project. Provides details of insect infestations of silversword plants, and describes the erection of cheesecloth tents and screens in an effort to protect flowering silverswords from pests. Suggests that the population of silverswords has not dramatically declined since 1927: While some areas have been denuded, others have seen increased growth. Although insect damage is severe, argues that the silverswords will likely survive these attacks.
