This paper presents the results of a second year of surveillance on peregrine falcons done in 1978 on the upper Yukon River. There were 19 cliffs occupied by peregrines in 1978: 16 by pairs, and 3 by single adults. Fourteen pairs fledged 28 young. The total number of adults seen in 1978 was higher than ever recorded for this stretch of river; the population of 1978 was at or near historic pre-DDT highs. Peregrines were disturbed by overflights of larger raptorial birds. They generally ignored boats, and low aircraft produced a reaction.
