Jemez Mountains salamanders (Plethodon neomexicanus) were studied in four plots in the Jemez Mountains, NM. Salamanders were captured, marked and released, and microhabitat data was recorded. Designated time-constrained searches (TCS) were performed along previously installed permanent transects. Collections were made and stomach contents were analyzed to determine seasonal diet fluctuations. Morphological differences, parasitism and predation, density, distribution, and habitat requirements are discussed, and there is one page of recommendations for management.
