This is the preliminary data of past fire events from fire scar samples collected in the Jemez Mountains, Pecos Wilderness, and the Sangre de Cristo Mountains, NM. Frequency and intervals of fire events for northern New Mexico is noted by forest type and time of season. Includes a chronology for each of eight collection sites. Future work needed to complete the project is discussed.
