On 7 August 1969, 11 pocketed free-tailed bats, Tadarida femorosacca, were netted over a lake 15 miles south of Boquillas, Mexico. This area is described. This is the first record of the pocketed free-tailed bat for Coahuila, Mexico. On 14 July 1969, one male T. femorosacca was netted over a water tank at Rio Grande Village, Big Bend National Park, Texas. During June and August of 1968 and 1969, the author netted 39 T. femorosacca near Castolon. The pocketed free-tailed bat is well established as a summer resident in the Big Bend area.
