Gray snapper (Lutjanus griseus) is the highest harvest gamefish in Everglades National Park, FL's recreational fishery. The authors examined data from the park's monitoring program to determine harvest information on the fish. Total harvest and effort data have been collected since 1973; lengths have been measured since 1974. Survey methodology, as well as the technique used to determine the virtual population assessment (VPA), is presented. In their results, the authors discuss the relationship between seasonality and harvest rates.
