Fishery management plan : Katmai National Park and Preserve, 1983

US National Park Service. 1983. Fishery management plan : Katmai National Park and Preserve, 1983

This document, despite its title, is not a plan. Rather it provides a brief overview of the Katmai fishery including a geographic description, a list of the 25 species of freshwater fish and the three primarily marine species that occur in the freshwater systems of Katmai, life histories of sockeye salmon and rainbow trout, and a review of research and monitoring projects. In Katmai, fishing is generally regulated according to restrictions established by the State, and these are given in an appendix. NPS may, if necessary, establish more stringent regulations.
