Report of a one-year plant inventory and vegetative community analysis of the Abraham Lincoln Birthplace National Historic Site, KY. 206 vascular plants were documented from the site. Vegetation communities include 1) landscaped grounds, 2) old field, 3) cedar forest, 4) American ash/sugar maple forest, and 5) oak forest. Both hardwood forests contained significant components of old-growth conditions. No rare plants were encountered. The report includes overviews of the physiography, topography, and geology of the area; regional vegetation patterns; checklist of findings; and summary of management implications.
