This report is part of the end result of a five year project entitled "The Flora and Vegetational Ecology of Isle Royale National Park." The text of this report reviews botanical exploration on the island and discusses major plant communities. Several lists are included in the text of this report: Plants of arctic-alpine affinity found on Isle Royale, western disjunct species found on Isle Royale, endangered and threatened species found on Isle Royale, special concern plants found on Isle Royale, plants known or assumed to be introduced to Isle Royale, and species listed by Clair Brown that have been excluded. The accompanying catalogue contains all of the vascular plants found on Isle Royale, each of which has been verified by a herbarium specimen.
