This botanical study was done at least in part on lands of the Blue Ridge Parkway. The author examined two acres on north facing slopes at the headwaters of Cornelius Creek, finding three ecological habitats: a dry forested area, a wet forested area, and an open glade. Collections include 125 species of vascular plants and 25 bryophytes. The paper describes the area and study methods, lists the species found (scientific name, habitat), then briefly discusses the results (2 pages). The report includes tables of forest cover (by major species) of each of the three habitats, and another table comparing physical soil properties among the sites.
