An analysis of limiting factors and the likelihood for survival of the endangered Florida panther. (Big Cypress National Preserve provides important habitat for some of the few remaining animals). The report is based on workshop discussions regarding demographics and population genetics, with projections based on population modeling. 'A declared goal was to find conditions that would provide a 95% probability for 100 years survival in the wild with retention of 90% of the present heterozygosity' [from the preface by U. S. Seal].
