This is a two part study of Fawn Pond (a wetland in the Cuyahoga Valley National Recreation Area). Part I concerns the enlargement of Fawn Pond and a history of the exploitation of the land surrounding the pond. Part II examines the species of vascular plants currently growing within, and around Fawn Pond, with reference to an inventory of species compiled by the authors. Iidcludes are a map and photograph of the area and a taxa of vascular plants observed during the study. Also published in "Castanea" March, 1999.
