Studied seabirds in the Gulf of the Farallones from 1971 to 1986. This report has 5 parts: Annual variability in availability of prey (with sections on northern anchovy, rockfish, Pacific herring, market squid and ephausiids); Foraging ecology of Farallon seabirds (sections on feeding areas, feeding behavior, diets during the breeding season, prey size. There is generalized information and species specific information); Murre guillemot and auklet diets 1984-86; Diet composition and breeding success; and Foraging areas during December 1985. At the end are tables of data and maps showing distributions for each bird species (Leach's Storm-petrel, Ashy Storm-petrel, Pelagic Cormorant, Pigeon Guillemot, Brandt's Cormorant, Western Gull, Common Murre, Cassin's Auklet, Rhinoceros Auklet, Tufted Puffin, and Sooty Shearwater).
