This is the tenth interim report detailing the finding and analyses of the 1970-1974 Fort Vancouver Archaeological Project. The focus of this report is upon the excavations conducted during 1973-1974 within the southeastern area of Fort Vancouver, herein referred to as the “southeastern Fort area”. The primary purposes for conducting excavations in the southeastern Fort area were to expose the 1845-period stockade lines, Blacksmith Shop, Iron Store and Southeast Bastion. The remains of the stockades lines have been described and interpreted in the seventh report of this series, and the remainder of the archaeological remains not previously discussed form the body of this present report.
