"This report summarizes fountain grass population and workloads, 1985-1992, and thus addresses the effectiveness of a control strategy starting with satellite populations after 3-7 years of removing plants." Authors report success in the two-step management strategy of first controlling outlying populations of the alien species and then the center of the infestation where densities of the plant are higher. Describes individual management blocks controlled since 1985, 1987, or 1990. Gives recommendations for future control efforts. Tables give number of fountain grass plants in various areas of the park, changes in total numbers of the plants found in buffer zone units, changes in numbers of plants found in populations in Pepeiau management block, and number of field worker-days expended on the program during the years 1986-1992.
