Fungi of New Mexico

The history of fungi documentation for the state of New Mexico is traced. The author investigates further types of fungi found in bodies of water in the Sangre de Cristo Mountains and in the desert soils and gypsum sands of the Tularosa Basin. Seventy-seven species of fungi were found, representing 33 different genera. Table II: Fungi isolated from Tularosa Basin soils other than gypsum sand dunes. Table III: Fungi isolated from the White Sands.
