Further Observations upon the Bird Life of Death Valley
Grinnell J. 1934. Further Observations upon the Bird Life of Death Valley. The Condor. 36(2):67-72
The author reports his bird observations within the "below-sea-level" portion of Death Valley in Death Valley National Monument between October 13 and October 30, 1933. He describes observations (day and time, number of birds, activity of birds, measurements of captured/shot specimens) of 14 species. A selection of the author's censuses are included (species and number of individuals within a described survey route and time). Six new species are added to the author's 1923 survey for a total of 131 species known to occur on the floor of Death Valley.
