This report is one of a large group containing details of individual projects done as part of the major rehabilitation efforts in the Redwood Creek basin, Redwood National Park, California. The report begins by describing the unit in the Tom McDonald Creek watershed, its logging history, and erosional features (with related maps at the end of the report). Most of the report is details of the heavy equipment and labor-intensive site work, with evaluations. (The major work at this site was done by heavy equipment, with some labor-intensive secondary treatment in clearing vegetation before heavy equipment came in, and spreading straw mulch over the site afterwards.) Tables summarize the erosion control work, heavy equipment use and costs. Background information on file for each site includes photopoint files (photopoint maps and description of locations for documentary photographs), color slides (the work process, before-and-after documentation), administrative files (calculations of volumes for excavation, equipment/hours/costs, daily logs, contracts, etc.), detailed geomorphic site maps (unmarked mylar base maps with overlays), and aerial photographs.
