Additional Records of Ficimia cana from Mexico and Texas
Mccoy CJ. 1961. Additional Records of Ficimia cana from Mexico and Texas. Herpetologica. 17(3):215
The western hook-nosed snake, Ficimia cana Cope, has remained one of the rarest of North American snakes notwithstanding intensive collecting activity in parts of its range. Smith and Taylor (1941, Journ. Wash. Acad. Sci. 31:365- 368) reviewed the species on the basis of seven specimens and to the present time records of only 24 specimens have been published.
