One of the two chief occurrences of the Gold Bluffs Formation of northern California is at the Gold Bluffs of Redwood National Park. This paper describes the geologic history and lithology of the formation, along with the principal deposits and their correlation. Appendices: graphs of pebble counts, physical descriptions of thin sections, and results of x-ray analyses.
