Geology and ground-water resources of the lower Little Bighorn River Valley, Big Horn County, Montana: with special reference to the drainage of waterlogged lands

Moulder EA, Klug MF, Morris DA, Swenson FA. 1960. Geology and ground-water resources of the lower Little Bighorn River Valley, Big Horn County, Montana: with special reference to the drainage of waterlogged lands. Geological Survey Water-Supply Paper 1487. US Department of Interior, Geological Survey. Washington, DC

The primary purpose of this investigation was to collect and interpret geologic and hydrologic data pertinent to the design and construction of proper drainage facilities on land that was irrigated or proposed for irrigation. Because most of the information needed for the drainage study is also pertinent to a study of the ground-water resources of the area, a secondary purpose was an evaluation of the present and potential development of the ground-water resources of the area.
