This is an internal U.S. National Park Service inventory report of Dall sheep in Lake Clark National Park. An aerial census of Dall sheep was conducted from 10-14 July 1978. The objectives of the survey were to determine total numbers, distribution, and composition of sheep within the newly established Monument. Sheep habitat was surveyed from Lower Tazimina Lake north to Telaquana Lake. A total of 480 sheep were seen. Of this number, 283 were ewes and yearlings, 132 were lambs, and 65 were rams. The lamb-ewe ratio was 46.6 lambs per 100 ewes and yearlings.
