Singer FJ and Twitchell H. 1984. Aerial Dall sheep count, 1984 : Lake Clark National Park and Preserve. Natural Resources Survey and Inventory Report. AR 84/1. National Park Service, Alaska Region. Anchorage, AK

Repeat aerial counts of Dall sheep in units 1 and 4 of Lake Clark National Park were conducted on 16-17 September 1984. Data taken included total sheep seen; numbers of lambs, yearlings, rams, and ewes; percent classified; and ram curl classes. Comparisons are made of counts in both units for the 1984 survey and an earlier one from 1981. Data from unit 4 was similar between years but that from unit 1 showed much higher counts in 1984 than in 1981; unit 1 total numbers increased from 49 to 183.
