The Bryce Canyon National Park fire management program included hazardous fuels reduction, and wildland/urban interface projects for a total of 1,396 acres, with 2.0 FTE for an average fuels treatment cost of $103/acre treated. Bryce Canyon National Park fire staff assisted in prescribed fires, prescribed fire preparation and wildfire suppression. The fire cache and equipment were improved, staffing was increased and training was provided in the fire preparedness effort.
