Following protocols given us by Mike Tetreau, we conducted a survey of the district's forested areas. Although results are pending lab reports, they don't look good. Virtually the entire district is showing signs of infestation (if we are interpreting correctly); in particular, the McArthur Pass and outer coastal areas (excluding areas with steep cliffs) showed extensive damage.
