Recovery of wooden marker

On November 25, 2000 Clinton Paul and myself were ice climbing on the terminus of Exit Glacier. At the end of the day we discovered the remains of a wooden marker that I recognized as being one that I had constructed and put on the glacier in 1987 (need to confirm 87 vs 88) as part of a time-lapse photography project with Bud Rice (Resource Management Specialist for KEFJ at that time). We found the maker on the surface of the ice in a flat area approximately 50 meters up-glacier from the tip of the terminus. The marker originally was a tetrahedral frame made of six pieces of 2x2 lumber each approximately 30 inches in length. The 2x2 s were joined at the vertices with wire. On top of the tetrahedron I had mounted two plywood discs, each approximately 10 inches in diameter, that were slotted and joined at right angles to each other. This marker (was there a second one?) was place near the middle of the glacier straight out from where the camera was located (in what is today referred to as marmot meadows).
