Exit Creek Measurement protocols

US National Park Service, Kenai Fjords National Park and Preserve, Resource Management Division. 2002. Exit Creek Measurement protocols. Seward, AK

These instructions will hopefully eliminate or at least reduce the confusion over how to take the morning stream level reading on Exit Creek. First of all, this measurement is very coarse , so don t lose sleep over getting it exactly right. The margin of error is in the order of one or two feet anyway (due to changes in the stream bed profile), so don t sweat the small stuff. That being said, we still need to try to be as accurate and consistent as possible, thus adhere to the following protocols.
