This 1996 study sampled the stomach contents of leopard sharks taken from two different locations in Tomales Bay: Hog Island and Indian Beach. The dominant food item in the sharks' stomachs differed by location. The major food item in the stomachs of sharks sampled at Hog Island was Cancer crabs, while Urechis worms were the most prevalent food item in the stomachs of the sharks sampled at Indian Beach.
