This report provides an overview of the history of bald eagle surveys on the Alaska Peninsula between 1911 and 1990. The study area extends from Kamishak Bay south to Isanotski Strait. Survey methods, study areas, and results of the various surveys are compared. The report recommends that all future coastal bald eagle nesting surveys on the Alaska Peninsula be conducted by helicopter to maintain survey accuracy.
