Macroinvertebrate monitoring began at Pipestone National Monument in 1989. The 1989 data serves as the baseline. Sporadic sampling occurred between 1992-1995 with concerted efforts initiated in 1996. The purpose of this report is to summarize macroinvertebrate monitoring data collected in 1996 through 2002 and to assess changes in community structure through time, especially since the 1989 baseline year.
