The GGNRA initiated a project to improve habitat conditons for native aquatic wildlife, inluding the federally threatened California red-legged frog. The actions involved hand removeal of metamorphosed bullfrogs, egg masses, and introduced fish; seasonal draining in Haypress, BAckdoor, and Oakwood Valley Ponds; and aquatic trapping.
