This report includes a survey of the plants, aquatic invertebrates and water chemistry and quality of springs located in Arches National Park, Canyonlands National Park, Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, and Grand Canyon National Park. Spring selection was based on presence of availability of previous studies, acessibility and water discharge rates. Data on water temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen, and conductivity was also collected. Aquatic invertebrates were collected from 45 springs. 140 insect genera and species in eight orders and 50 families were collected. Vascular plant flora of the sampled springs includes 125 native species and 19 exotic species. The vegetation of the springs was analyzed using cluster analysis and ordination techniques. Data on the presence of amphibians and various disturbances were also collected. Databases are included in the report containing data on physical spring features, water quality parameters, water chemistry, flora, vegetation, aquatic invertebrates and disturbance types. Photographic points are established at all springs and photos are included in the report.
