Glacier monitoring project, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, 1987-1998 brief explanation of the photo coordinates and cataloging system

Anders A. 1998. Glacier monitoring project, Lake Clark National Park and Preserve, 1987-1998 brief explanation of the photo coordinates and cataloging system. Port Alsworth, AK

The Glacier Monitoring Project was designed to be an inexpensive and easy way for Lake Clark National Park to observe changes in some of the numerous glaciers. The project includes a series of photographs taken from fixed-wing aircraft and surveys of the termini of a few glaciers. The photos were taken in several years at approximately the same locations in order to allow comparison of photos from different years. Unfortunately, the documentation of the flight lines and the descriptions of some photos were not to be found at Lake Clark. My task was to reconstruct the flight lines and catalogue the photos that were taken in order to make it possible to efficiently take the photos again.
