The purpose of this study is to determine the runoff components of the Tlikakila River. These runoff components consist primarily of snowmelt, rainfall, and glacier icemelt. In addition, a relatively small portion of runoff is contributed by groundwater. However, the groundwater component is important because it is most dominant during the winter period and provides warm upwelling areas for juvenile salmon to survive.
