Snags and partial snags were studies to learn how restoration treatments affect the densities, characteristics and use of snags by wildlife. At Mt. Trumbull, snag loss was 5x greater in treated plots than in untreated. Partial snags were destroyed at the same rate in treatment and control plots but were more likely to remain standing than snags.
