This study analyzed geomorphic effects in watersheds at Burnt Mesa and Apache Springs following the La Mesa Fire in Bandelier National Monument, NM. The vegetation in each watershed was classified as lightly, moderately, or intensely burned and compared in regards to runoff patterns and volume, sediment transport and yield, and erosion. Photo-documentation, erosion-pins, scour and fill chains, vegetation plots, rill analysis, and erosion contour plots were analyzed.
