A geophysical characterization of the Soda Butte Creek drainage, Yellowstone National Park
Nyberg EE. 1996. A geophysical characterization of the Soda Butte Creek drainage, Yellowstone National Park. National Park Service
This report gives an overview of the drainage basin and covers geophysical techniques that were used to help characterize the subsurface of the Soda Butte Creek drainage. Both seismic refraction surveys and vertical electrical soundings (VES) were performed in an attempt to better understand the characteristics of the local aquifer. The study site was located near the northeastern boundary of Yellowstone National Park, which is approximately three miles from the community of Cooke City, Montana.
