This report documents the vegetative analysis and management recommendations for the prairie management and monitoring program at George Washington Carver National Monument for prairie management areas 1-5. An introduction on the purpose of the report is included which describes the project area. The methods used during the study include presence list based on previous studies, sampling techniques, analysis of data which includes relative frequency, relative density, relative cover, and importance value. The results of the analysis is given for each unit. Conclusions and recommendations based on the analysis is also included. Table data identifies the vegetative sampling results for each unit in the Fall 1981, July 1982, and September 1982 and lists the species common and scientific name, relative frequency, relative density, relative cover, and importance value. Comparison of vegetative sampling results is also included for the three study periods. A presence list is also provided that gives the scientific and common names of species previously found in the area.
