The final technical report concerning the Vital Signs Water Quality Monitoring that took place in Bighorn Canyon NRA. Included is information about methods used in this monitoring and the results gained. This document reports on compilation, analysis, and evaluation of existing water quality data collected from water bodies in Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area and surrounding area. Much of these data are stored in the EPA STORET database. The objectives of the study were to: 1) catalog the existing water quality data for BICA from the EPA-STORET database; 2) supplement these data with additional data as it became available; 3) review all the data for their utility in determining the status and trends in park water quality; 4) determine the status and trends and the range of variability in water quality at BICA; and 5) identify and prioritize water quality monitoring needs in accordance with the goals of the Vital Signs monitoring program.
