Newspaper (NPS)article, no date. Two rabbits were sighted at the Mauna Loa Strip Road area, HAVO. One of the rabbits was captured by a HAVO maintainence worker and the other was shot. Two or three more rabbits were sighted one was shot but the whereabouts of the others remain unknown. These rabbitsare believed to be intentionally released domestic European species, the kind sold in pet stores.
